Hi-Tech Diamond acrylic backing plates are made out of acrylic and provide an extremely flat surface for disc application. Hi-Tech Diamond 3/8" acrylic backing plates provide an extremely flat surface to back diamond smoothing discs, electroplated diamond discs, Tech-11 polishing pads and final polishing pads.

All acrylic backing plates have a 1/2" arbor hole.

Balanced

So far, they have all been round and flat, so no wobble. A trick to clean them, soften glue with a hair dryer, lift old sheet off, remove residue with alcohol and reuse

8 inch backing plates

Would rate them a “5 star” but the protective film is very difficult to start the peel-away. These truly need a pull tab (along with the pads) in order to facilitate the films removal.
