The lap machine arbor fits onto the shaft of all Hi-Tech Diamond All-U-Need lap machine and Hi-Tech Diamond Slant Cabber lap machine. It secures the diamond discs and laps. What you see in the picture is exactly how it comes. Arbor fits both 6" and 8" models.

Included

  • Arbor - made of aluminum and comes pre-greased for easy installation
  • Set screw - installed inside the arbor and is used to tighten and loosen the arbor with a 1/8" Allen wrench
  • 1/8" Allen wrench - used to tighten and loosen the set screw

Additional arbor information: Fits onto 3/8" motor shafts. The hole on top of the arbor is 1/2" to fit laps with 1/2" arbor holes. If you have an older machine and are not sure if this part will fit properly, please email sales@hitechdiamond.com or call us at 1 (630) 596-9909 and we will assist you.

It was the Right Solution that I found on my own.

I am very happy with the Arbor for my 8" flat lap. Not so happy with the non responsive Customer Service. I had written a request to Customer Service asking for a solution to the Wabble that I was experiencing with the flat lap?
after several days I thought I would gamble on buying a new Arbor (while it was pretty expensive for what it is) it solved the issue. I would have been really nice if Customer Service could of offered that solution, rather than me having to buy the part and pay for shipping , just hoping it would work.

Excellent quality

Over a long long time it will strip out.
It took mine 3 years before it needed replaced and I use it a lot.
If you have this machine then have a spare.

Sooner or Later

Sooner or later this part will wear out. Either the threads or shoulder and when working I don't want to stop so having a spare is peace of mind!

It works! The only downfall was it didn’t come with the Allen wrench for the screw like it said it would, so we had to improvise.
