The extremely durable Hi-Tech Diamond thin sintered diamond saw blade is manufactured using premium diamond grit (325#/400#) that is secured into a metal bond, extending the full depth of the rim. This blade uses sintered technology, which increases their life span compared to notched rim saw blades because diamonds are continuously exposed as the edge of the blade wears away, cut after cut. Thin rims make these blades suitable for cutting and trimming material such as quartz, topaz, glass and fine agates.

All saw blades have 5/8" arbors and come with 1/2" bushings.

Important purchasing note: The 8" saw blade is black. This does not affect the performance of the blade.

Please note: These diamond saw blades must be run with a lubricant such as water or oil. NEVER run dry! We recommend using a good quality cutting oil with these blades. To enhance the performance and life span of these blades, abide by the recommended operating speeds and spin-dry your blade after use to prevent any rusting.

These blades are great. I need to be a little more gentle.

Ok

A good blade,, But short-lived, I would not recommend it for cutting Thunder stones, as far as cutting geological last a long time

Hi William - Thank you for your feedback. If you feel that this blade is wearing out fast, you can resharpen it using this accessory: https://hitechdiamond.com/collections/diamond-saw-blades/products/sintered-diamond-saw-blade-dressing-stick. Because this blade is made with sintered technology, it can be safely resharpened without ruining the blade. We hope that helps!

Nice for trimming slabs

Great thin blade

Nice smooth cuts

The blades are very thin and don't leave deep marks on the material. My only complaint is the red paint comes off in the beginning and leaves a mess. It can also gum up on the the blade and cause the rock to "stick". I wish they wouldn't paint the whole blade!

Cuts smoothly

First let me say that I buy a lot of products from Hi-Tech.
All of the products are of excellent quality. Customer Service is fast and detailed.
I like the red blade because it leaves very shallow marks instead of deep ones.
It doesn't grind away much material.
Using a vice is a good idea because it is thin and will possibly bend if it gets in a bind.
It will last a long time.
If you use water I recommend using the coolant product.
The stack of slabs pictured are about 2" by 3" and that stack took almost 30 minutes to slice.
