The saw in general works well. I use it a lot for slabbing smaller stones to be made in cabs. Like others said, the saw table didn't fit right, fixed that with soft epoxy. The saw guard cracked down the middle after a few months, hard set epoxy fixed that. Had to fabricate some copper parts, one to keep water from splashing off the back of the blade that splashes all over and a tall wraparound splash guard for the back half of the table. The unit could use a larger reservoir, have to clean it out after cutting for a while as water gets way too dirty and a drain hole for it would have been very nice. Dirty water wears out blades.
the narrow and small reservoir makes it tough to get the screw on to hold the blade to axle. Backsplash guard? He he he, nice joke of a little plastic thing, but good for leveling things with legs. Made a larger one to keep me from getting soaked.
Not sure why there is a hole in the top of the table but that had to be sealed up so water does not splash/shoot out when the reservoir get fresh water in it. Other than that, this is a solid saw. Have used it for a LOT of cutting. Am looking forward to it working for years to come and I am sure it will.
So, I fit a guide on the saw table for slicing small rocks for cabbing. Thinking instead of unscrewing the guide from the table when the table is needed for different cutting, why not buy another table.....great idea! Just pop one off and put one on to use as needed.
Came on here to order one, got through the order and came to shipping........$44.30 to ship a little $34.00 item!!!!! $80.00 for a tiny saw table??? I think not. I have paid less for priority mail shipping 40 lbs of rocks!!
Usually, yes, its easy to just order over $150.00 of stuff to get the free shipping, but I don't need anything now. Needles to say, I won't be getting this saw table today.
You guys really need to check out other types of shipping that are not so expensive or don't add so much onto your shipping rates.
