Unstable fence

The saw fence is a good idea with appropriate tension on wing nuts. However, there is an engineering flaw. There needs to be anchor tension on the forward and aft of saw fence. When cutting the saw fence lifts up, creating variance in cutting. Resolving this would reduce having to hold fence down with left hand. When the left hand has to hold the fence, it limits the precision of cutting to only the right hand on the material being cut.

Why?

Not sure why I purchased this. Rocks are rarely uniforn in shape and this is more of a hinderance to straight cuts.

locator pins are not properly sized for holes in the saw table. Too tight to easily relocate. Loosening the attaching wing nuts and pressing down on guide is very, very cumbersome as well.

In short I won't be using this attachment again. Oh well!

Works great

Works great. Great price. I usually free-hand cuts, but sometimes I want precision cuts and this saw fence helps me do that. I was able to cut 10 identical square slabs in no time. I then skipped the first two shaping wheels on my Cab King to finish this part of the project.

Works well, top table too flexible

The actual fence part worked well, but as I cut the blade started to curve the cut because the pressure on the fence caused the table to flex slightly away from the saw and I ended up with an uneven cut. Even trying to give very little pressure and feed it slowly still gave a slight thickening in long slabs. So at this point I use it only on the left side of the saw and put a wood shim between the table and the motor to keep it from flexing to the left.

Great!

Used one at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts and had to get one for my machine. Works great!
