Hi-Tech Diamond diamond coolant is a surfactant, which lowers the surface tension of water and increases diamond tool life by reducing friction. It helps increase grinding, sawing and drilling speed. It also allows the water to do a better job cooling, which prevents your material from overheating. Simply follow the instructions on the bottle and add to the water reservoir of your saw machine or lap machine.

The coolant powder is conveniently packaged in an 8 oz. bottle (236.5 ml). Simply fill this bottle with clean water, shake until fully dissolved, and you're all set to use.

Worth the $s

Just two capfuls in my trim saw water and the water temperature stayed cooler while the blade cut with less drag. I'll definitely be using this in the water from now on.

Keep your cool

I'm just a noob at saw work, this helped me and my saw keep our cool during some long cutting sessions. I could tell a difference over plain water, plan to buy more.

Better than just water

I use this with the slab saw and will continue to do so.
The blade needs some type of lubricant/coolant, water isn't enough.
I do not use it with my trim saw and the blades last a long time.
Trimming doesn't develop near the heat, so I didn't see a need for it.

Surface tension...

I've been using water as a cutting lube and considered it sufficient to get the job done. I read more some more and found out the value of a surfactant. Adding this product to the water breaks water's surface tension resulting in the water staying on the blade longer than plain water. You don't use that much meaning a bottle will last a long time.
