The extremely durable Hi-Tech Diamond thin sintered diamond saw blade is manufactured using premium diamond grit (325#/400#) that is secured into a metal bond, extending the full depth of the rim. This blade uses sintered technology, which increases their life span compared to notched rim saw blades because diamonds are continuously exposed as the edge of the blade wears away, cut after cut. Thin rims make these blades suitable for cutting and trimming material such as quartz, topaz, glass and fine agates.

All saw blades have 5/8" arbors and come with 1/2" bushings.

Important purchasing note: The 8" saw blade comes either in red or black. This does not affect the performance of the blade.

Please note: These diamond saw blades must be run with a lubricant such as water or oil. NEVER run dry! We recommend using a good quality cutting oil with these blades. To enhance the performance and life span of these blades, abide by the recommended operating speeds and spin-dry your blade after use to prevent any rusting.

Stellar cuts.

I use both the 6” and 10”. Compared to other blades this thin I think it gives one of the cleanest cuts, and you lose minimal material. Plus their customer service is super responsive. I had a small issue and they handled it quickly, and exceeded my expectations. They definitely know how to keep someone’s business.

Excellent blade

We didn’t need one but at this price we decided it was an excellent time to stock up.

A Wonderful Blade

I first used one of these Thin sintered diamond saw blades when I purchased my 6" Hi-Tech Diamond trim saw. I destroyed it... It was my first trim saw and I had no idea how to use it.
Now I am very comfortable with the saw and these Red Blades enough that they are my go-to sintered diamond blades.
I have learned a few things about how to care for and use them:
1, Use a lubricant in your water. Special lubes are made specifically for use in water with saws and cabbing machines. You can find one here at Hi-Tech.
2. Go slow. You don't have to go "Hell-Bent-For-Leather" with your blade. It cuts just fine at a slower speed.
3. Don't force it. Let the blade do its work.
4. Get a Dressing Stone and use it often. A clean, well dressed blade with cut faster and much more smoothly than a worn one.

I know it is a trim saw blade, but I use it for slabbing as well. Lubrication, dressing and slow going make it perfect for this task.

Chunk flew off. Thank God for safety glasses.

This was the third blade I had purchased. During the cutting of a second rock a chunk of the blade broke off. I chalked it up to being a problem with manufacturing. I will be buying another. I haven't had problems except this one instance. But considering the price, if it happens again. sadly.. No more will be purchased.
