Our American-made 10″ slab saw is a powerful, economical saw machine that is used for slabbing larger rocks, minerals and glass into more manageable pieces. This saw includes TWO different types of 10″ saw blades to best-suit your cutting material; one notched diamond saw blade and one sintered diamond saw blade. Saws are available with or without the saw vise accessory.
The Hi-Tech Diamond 10" slab saw is manufactured with a 5/8" arbor and will accept any 10" saw blade that has a 5/8" arbor. The large, removable saw table gives you plenty of room and allows for some carving ability, measuring 19-3/4" L X 12" W. The housing is made of unbreakable, cross-linked polyethylene that makes it rustproof and easy to clean. Installed in each slab saw is a 1/3 hp motor to provide plenty of strength for large cuts, delivering a speed of 1,725 rpm. The coolant reservoir is built right into the base of the machine. Simply drain the reservoir with the built-in drain plug, which makes cleanup fast and easy. The splash guard that comes with the machine keeps water off you and on your piece, making it easier for you to work.
This Hi-Tech Diamond 10" slab saw machine comes with TWO different types of 10" saw blades to best-suit your cutting material. The notched diamond saw blade is designed for slabbing large rocks and minerals such as agates, jades and geodes, while the sintered diamond saw blade is designed for cutting large pieces of glass, topaz, quartz and fine agates.
Electricity supply
Make sure you choose the right power supply for your machine. The 220 volt models are available only for overseas customers that require 220V - 240V power supply. All 220 volt models are manufactured with this CE rated, Type F plug (see below):

Optional accessories

My new slab saw came VERY quickly - I was really surprised! Saw has terrific power, and is easy to set up and use. Issues that I have noticed: The unit is of one-piece construction with the tank portion made of a type of plastic - with too much movement of the motor, I can see where a weak spot could wear or crack in the area between the motor housing and water tank. Another issue I noticed - when emptying the water tank, water curls under the tank and pools under the tool - it would be nice if there was a hose or tubing connection coming out of the tank so water could be drained away from the tool. Finally, while using the tool, water and debris is thrown by the blade into the small space between the motor housing and the tank - it's very hard to clean between these areas, and I wonder if any water is getting into the small opening where the motor shaft exits the motor housing and enters the tank - as this is also the area of the weak spots, maybe Hi-Tech should strengthen the area by filling the gap with solid "plastic". That would keep the water and debris from entering the motor housing and eliminate the area where water and debris is difficult to clean out. I DO like my new slab saw in spite of its slight issues.
I have not used it much I am please so far the only thing I would change is the brass bushing for the blade arbor. A sealed block style bearing would be better it does not get as hot and does not gaul.
easy set up easy use.
We are loving this machine just to see what is inside of thundereggs and other rocks.
We are totally new at being a rock hound and was one of the things on my bucket list of things to do.

Saw arrived pretty quick. I started cutting geodes right a way.
The bigger saw has almost twice the depth as my first saw and the blade is stiffer.
