The Hi-Tech Diamond All-U-Need lap machine is manufactured with a 1/2" arbor and powered by a 1/4 hp, heavy-duty, ball bearing, DC motor. This motor is variable speed so you can work at whatever pace you desire, delivering speeds from 800 rpm to 3,400 rpm. This portable machine can be used anywhere. Whether you're at home, in the shop or on the road, this quiet machine won't disturb others around you. It's lightweight, rustproof and impact-resistant, making it even easier to travel with.
The coolant reservoir, which holds about a pint of water, prevents heat buildup while you work and removes dust particles so you don't inhale any harsh chemicals. That pint of water will give you two to three straight hours of work without refilling. The black splash guard keeps water off you so you don't get soaked while you work. Cleanup is as simple as it gets: Just remove the black spray shield, rinse with clean water and you're ready to work again.
Electricity supply
Make sure you choose the right power supply for your machine. The 220 volt models are available only for overseas customers that require 220V - 240V power supply. All 220 volt models are manufactured with this CE rated, Type F plug (see below):

This All-U-Need lap machine comes with a glass/crystal accessory kit that allows you to work right out of the box. Our grinding and polishing process makes easy work of grinding, shaping and polishing glass and crystal. The electroplated diamond discs are easily interchangeable and only require ONE backing plate for all four discs.

Quite frankly, this is one of the best glass working tools I have bought since my GTT Phantom in 2002. My only “complaint” and it’s not HTD’s fault, is it needs to come with courser grit wheels. The 360 is a little fine for “rough cuts” a 180 wheel is a must have addition.
I ended up buying a 100 and a 180 lapping wheel as “extras” I “saved” 20 pieces I was going to scrap with the wheel.
Shipping was incredibly fast and the quality of the machine is as expected for the price range.

I had been thinking of adding a lap wheel to my arsenal for a while now and decided to go through Hi-Tech Diamond for that studio upgrade. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. They machine is high quality, they ship fast and the customer support was super responsive and excited to help me out.
Embarking on a new creative journey in cold working. This is my first lap wheel, and being a first-time user of one of these machines caused a little apprehension. However, after getting everything all set up, with ease I might add, switched the power on and then the wheel began to spin, and the water began to flow I found myself completely at home. Love my "All U Need" product. The Hi-Tech Lap wheel is a quality-built machine for those who are in the small to medium range like me. customer service in my book is an A+.
I like to cut and polish wine snd other glass beverage bottles and using this systems get the work easier and quicker than the way I used to polish them its so confort to use it really helps 100% I only regret not buying it earlier
